Is it possible to put 987 seats in a 986?

I found a good set of 987 seats and want to put them in my 986. Has anyone done this? The 987 seats seem to sit lower and are thinner, so I'll gain some head and leg room. I'm sure the connectors won't plug right in, but I could splice the power in. What do you guys think?

Silver, I want to do this too, the 987 seats are much better for folks with back and hip issues like mine. They are very hard to come by though. What I really want is the 987 sport seats, my friend has them in his cayman R and they are awesome.

I've posted the same question and been told they fit great. I was going to put Recaro CS seats in and found out at the last minute from a forum member the back adjuster knob won't fit.
