Drivers window broke
 

Rolled window down today to activate security gate and window would not go back up. I took the door panel off and had to force the window up while pushing button. Tried to look for problem, my guess is front wire feels worn and maybe frayed.

Is there a DIY fix or is this a body shop job. I have done the front speakers, stereo change. I can do a little DIY and willing to try anything.

Window is moving up and down when door opens but sounds bad and is slow so window hits top.

I really need this fixed before wire breaks and then window stops all the way.
