Estimatedd cost?

I believe I have a bad fuel pump
my wife have been driving my car while I been away overseas... now I'm back to a busted Boxster! She drove it on "E" alot! For no reason at all... my pay check was fat and tax free and not even a third went on rent... no excuses and just pure laziness. Anyways, I drove her and she puttered and a popping sound came from the left rear panel of the vehicle. When I sstopped at a light or decelerated and tried to take off she fought me back and didn't ant to go until I get up past 2-2.5k rpms... took her to auto zone to get some chevron gas treatment just in case my wife was being cheap and put standard gas in her. HAA! Came out to start her up and nothing she turns over but will not stay on... just dies and now she won't even stay on anymore. If it's the fuel pump (which I think it is from past experiences) how much will it cost me for myself to do it or dealer serviced?
