I heard a noise, opened the engine compartment, and saw this hanging there.
this shot is from the interior looking behind the passenger seat.

Looks like the engine compartment temperature sensor. Part # 996.606.113.00.
There should be a rubber grommet-like hole to hold it. Look between the front two intake runners.
