no, you're fine - tt's self adjusting. Just make sure when you put the new belt on you get the ribs lined up w/ the grooves on the other pulleys to prevent any unnecessary wear. Also, keep your old belt as a spare in the car (mine's behind my spare tire) just in case you're stuck in the middle of no where. You'll have better luck finding a 15/16 or 24mm wrench in a pinch than you will a replacement belt Mark on it the direction of travel as well.
