My emblems started to look dingy with a milky White layer of film. I rubbed them out with some wet/dry 2000 grit sandpaper, followed by an application of 3M polishing compound by hand. They look good as new.

Sanding Works

I did the same thing as Rareair and it works. Started with 1500 grit wet dry sandpaper and then finished with 2000 grit. For good measure I shot them with 3 light coats of wheel clearcoar (duplicolor in the spray can form Autozone). They look good as new and I saved some $.

I took the easy route and just cleaned mine off real good and applied clear nail polish to the colored portion. It brought them back to life real good.

Once they dried I figured what the heck, I taped over the crest portion and then repainted the silver portion using the Wurth Silver spray paint.

Real easy, took 10 minutes tops and they look almost as good as new.

Figures the GT3 caps are way cheaper at $18 each. Wonder if they fit our wheels?
