Anyone interested in a radiator fan hack?
I've seen it on Rennlist and I'm going to go it to my 01' S this weekend. Anyone interested in pictures and directions?

Sure. (What's a radiator fan hack do?)

There is also a mod to manually turn the engine fan on/off as well. I'm going to build a cheesy set up at first until I can order custom switches that look OEM. Here is the idea behind it,posted from a guy on Rennlist Needle at right side of 180 means your temperature is 215F+. Goal is to keep the temperature below 200F which is easier to address while temps are low rather than having to cool it down to that level. |
Okay, sure, I might be interested in doing something like that. Post away!
|
I would also be interested! Could you post a link?

Why not just change the 'stat that controls the fans and use a lower temperature?
|
Sorry I haven't been able to post anything. I'm swapped at the moment. Work and World of Warcraft has been killing me lately. :p
If you can't wait,go under the 996 section of Rennlist, search for fan &/or radiator mod and you'll find them. |

I don't see the point of this hack at all. Why mess with Porsche engineering?
