I need $22900 out of it....pretty firm with the price.

Note the color is the more rare Meridian Silver, not Artic Silver.

IS350?

I never thought the IS should be in the Lexus lineup. It just feels like a very well appointed Toyota and doesn't have that special Lexus look and feel... and that cushy Lexus ride.

Of course, I own a LS400 and that probably has a lot to do with the opinion.

But, none of this matters because:

A HAPPY WIFE = A HAPPY LIFE

...we all know that if momma ain't happy, nobody is happy so IS350 shopping you will do!

I am sad that you're selling your boxster before the May trip to the Dragon.

Sounds familiar -- my wife started off trying to talk me into trading the Boxster for a SUV, and thanks to my holding my ground, she's slowly moved on from the SUV to more enticing vehicles -- first a G35, then a 325i, now a 325i coupe. I think the 335i coupe might be our final middle ground, but she's yet to take that step. :)

Get rid of the wife and keep the car.

I'm sure that would turn out to be MUCH more expensive in the long run ;)

actually the IS350 will do 0-60 in 4.9 seconds which ain't too shabby....still sporty enough for me and comfortable for her.

New Price $22500.....

Pharaoh Sphinx 01-17-2007 11:17 PM

Check your PM's bud.

Ill buy it... if you can wait like 30-60 days for me to get all my dough together for it and the transport of it.

You said you are going to put it on ebay, can you wait like 45 days before you do that and give me a chance??

Im really really interested, I think thats a great price for the mileage...

bagwell 01-21-2007 05:23 PM

rock bottom price of $21999.

NickCats 01-21-2007 06:42 PM

Good luck, Bagwell !

I think that is a great price for your Boxster.

I bought my 99 last year with 22k miles for $22k.

Nick

bagwell 02-07-2007 07:20 AM

new price is $21696 :(

Travis 02-07-2007 07:29 AM

Where else do you have it listed?

The link to autotrader said it is no longer listed, I am sure you will start getting hits now that the weather is getting nicer.

Good luck.

Maybe if you drove it around town you might get a sale.... Say this Saturday meeting up at Spec's in Houston for the "Twisties" :D

As the owner of a 2001 IS300 (bright freakin' yellow) I share part of your opinion, but disagree with part. :D :D

Yes, I think that it is a bit of an oddball in the Lexus lineup in terms of it's sporty vs luxury focus, but about feeling like a Toyota? Sorry, gotta disagree there.

The IS300 (not sure about the new 250/350) is based on a modified GS platform, and it shows. It has a much more solid, tight feel than most other cars in its class, and much more so than any Toyota-branded car (including the ES/Camry). It is quite spartan in terms of luxury equipment, but despite having a firm suspension it soaks up bumps with a lot more sophistication than, let's say, a G35 or a loaded Maxima. The BMW 330 is its equal or better, but with a 33% higher price tag similarly equipped.

IMHO, Lexus service is also second to none, and that was a factor in my purchase decision.

BTW, I had a '96 LS400 for a short while before I bought the IS. Great car, incredible build quality, but at 30yrs old decided I wanted something more sporty...

cheers!!
