2002 Boxster S For Sale

2002 Boxster S six speed; only selling because we've just bought a 2004 Anniversary with a tip for the Mrs., who won't drive a manual. I'm out of garage space. SoCal car (Hawthorne, CA) from new to 2017. Truly great driver. Everything important is done...water pump & new convertible top by P.O.; within the last year I've done a new fuel pump, fuel gauge sending unit, new tires, new spare key ($480 - yikes!), inner and outer door sills including new switches for trunk/frunk, Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth, new JBL speakers (in the original speaker housings), new LCD for climate control display, rear undercarriage cover, rubber lips under front bumper cover, OEM cupholders, and many, many more odds & ends. 11/19, had IMSB replaced (LN), RMS, clutch, slave cylinder, clutch release arm, plugs, plug tubes, coils, oil fill tube, crankcase vent valve, brake fluid flush, coolant system flush. FWIW, the original IMSB was in great shape. In short, everything you'd want done, is done, and done right. Body and paint are very good but there are a couple of sun faded spots, and the odd little scratch and a couple of stone chips, as you'd expect in car of this age. Wheels have a couple of small nicks. In sum, I'd intended this to be our "keeper" and treated it as such. With an all new clutch, a properly adjusted short shifter, great brakes and new rubber it's a ball in the twisties and dead reliable. Hate to part with it. $14,500. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1595152713.jpg

The miles scare me a little at that price

The price is not that far off, IF description is true, however it lacks some options that support premium price -
Litronics for starts and there appears to be some burn on the halogens. :+(
there is no mention of suspension refresh, if not, that is an immediate concern.
The underside plastic and wheel wheels need to be perfect, or new, M30, etc. etc.

Subman, many of us would be interested to hear how this goes, and if you get your price.
:+)

Car is sold...$13.5K. And no to the suspension refresh, but yes to having replaced all the underside plastic and one wheel well liner (others are fine). Buyer got to review the receipts for the work, and was provided copies.

Nice...I am about to market my 2001 with 100K. Glad you got your price and hope you invite the new owner to the forum.
