WTB Red 986 Boxster S

Hello. Its my first post here although I have owned Porsches for almost 10 years now (993, Cayman S, 356, 911E) and frequented other Porsche forums. I'm looking for an enthusiast owned Guards Red Boxster, manual in good condition. My preference is for a black interior, maintenance records, common fixes done, etc. I'm looking for a car in Western Canada although something in the Arizona or possibly West Coast area might be a possibility. I do travel to the Phoenix area from time to time even though our Loonie is down. I'm not in a hurry to buy as its still winter here! There is an outside chance I would consider a silver car with red interior (like my old 993) or a non S. Thanks!

ps I do all my own maintenance and repairs so I'm not afraid to look at good cars that need mechanical work, tires, etc.

You just missed a VERY nice 01 red S in California..check cars for sale on this forum.

I've missed a few in the last week. If its the one I had my eye on it was too much $$$ and no IMS bearing replacement. It was a very very nice car though. Spring is 3 or 4 months away so no hurry.

Hmmm....I wonder where you might find one. Got one just like you are describing.

Bought a couple of Porsche's down your way and know some of the 356 crowd down there. I love AZ and will be there again in March. I usually go to the auctions and the Pavillions in January but not this year.

or silver :) Western Canada preferred

If you like silver, I highly recommend a 2004 Special Edition. They only came in Cocoa or Black interior, but there are just enough changes to the this version to make it a worthy specimen.

I will be in the Phoenix area in March. Just saying.:)

Here's the second nicest Guards Red w/ black interior 2001S on the board. 34,000 miles. ;)

Not an S, but my car is Arena Red and has a black interior. It's the "full leather" interior which is much nicer (and much more rare) than the usual "basketball" rubber/plastic interior.

i have a silver manual 00 S that i'll trade you for your 356. come to castrol on 22 May and i'll give you a ride around the track in it. enthusiast owned! probably the quickest 3.2 in our neck of the woods (if properly driven, which i can't claim to be able to do ...).

Looks great! Unfortunately the $USD is killing me so I'm sticking to shopping up North for now. I'm hoping more cars come out of the woodwork as spring arrives.

Still looking. I did drive a silver '03 base today.

356Guy 05-15-2017 04:31 PM

Found. Bought a '00S today 1/4 mile from my house
