2001 Porsche Boxster S: 24,700 miles, meticulously maintained

2001 Porsche Boxster S: $22,000
- Arctic silver with black interior and top
- 6 speed manual
- 24,700 miles
- 18" Sport Design/GT3 wheels
- LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade

This is a highly well cared for 986S which has had four meticulous owners from new, originating at Porsche of Quad Cities in Davenport, Iowa (see CarFax). It made its way to Long Island where I acquired the car in 2011 from Exotic Classics in Syosset, New York who took the car on trade from a Porsche collector. A job move brought the car to Atlanta via Horseless Carriage in 2012, where it has remained since.

The desirable IMS bearing upgrade was completed at Musante Motorsports, a well known marque specialist in Windsor, CT in 2012. A full vehicle inspection and 30,000 mile spec service (fluids, belts, filters, plugs, brakes) was completed at the time of the upgrade ($4,100/photo of invoice included). This service also included resealing both the right and left camshaft covers. The engine is tight, revs and shifts smoothly through all 6 gears.

Always stored and covered indoors. Otherwise completely stock, the interior benefits from an iPhone lightning charging/AUX cord into the original Becker CD stereo and a set of authentic black/silver Coco Mats. This is a collector quality condition 986S.

For those curious, an upgrade to a 991 and space constraints force the sale. It's time to let this one move on to the next caretaker to enjoy.

Interior
- Power adjustable heated seats
- Black partial leather
- OEM windscreen
- iPhone lightning charger/AUX cord
- CocoMats

Exterior
- Near perfect arctic silver paint (three very minor blemishes noted in photos with scale)
- Front fascia repainted to a high standard in 2011 to repair minor rock chips, etc.
- Common wheel outer ring delaminating repaired/refinished in 2014, zero curb rash and appear as new
- Bridgestone Potenza tires with approximately 5,000 miles
- Color matched Bumper Plugs key hole insert
- Original top is in as new condition with no rear window cracks or clouding

Other
- California Car Cover, custom fit
- Battery cutoff switch on new battery
- Quick connect for Battery Tender
- Spare OEM windscreen clips
- Original factory books
- Becker OEM radio removal keys
- Two original keys, Porsche key chain
- Factory matched DR color chip touch up bottle and pen
- Chrome valve stem caps with color Porsche crest
- Maintenance binder with repair invoices, receipts

I am happy to answer any questions or requests for additional photos via this thread or through private messages.

its a beautiful car, but still a little pricey
Still an 01, no glass rear window or glovebox
Hope you get your price
GWTS

You are in 996 territory
Granted you ave very low mileage and a 996 @ $20k would be at least 75k miles, probably pushing 100k or more

Thanks for the feedback! I know this is top of the market for a 986. The price is negotiable and reflective of the condition of the vehicle.

Thanks again! Happy to answer any questions.

Sold to a non-forum buyer, but a previous Porsche owner looking to get back behind the wheel. For comp reference for buyers and sellers the car sold for $19,500.
