I actually like the 75-77 911s, if you drop a 3.0 or 3.2 into them. Their cheaper prices make them attractive.

I am buying every aircooled 911 I can find :-)

I'm just surprised with the bubble that is the air cooled stuff now, that brokers are turning down anything right now.

Agreed. Besides the motor they are just as desirable to me. Like you said nothing a engine swap can't fix. I guess this guy maybe looking for matching number cars. who knows.
