Water levels reached the carpets of the car. The dash of the vehicle still lights up, headlights work, and some of the seat functions work. The car has not been started, nor were any repairs attempted. Water levels only reached the carpet/floor of the car. To our knowledge, water did not get into the engine. However, because the vehicle was involved in a flood it is being sold AS IS. Features 2.5L H6 DOHC 24V Engine Manual Transmission Power Leather Seats Leather Steering Wheel Trim Cruise Control AM/FM/CD Audio Power Windows/Door Locks/ Mirrors Power Soft Drop Top Power Rear Spoiler 17-Inch Alloy Wheels -Always adult owned and garaged its entire life. **Hardtop is not included in the sale** If you would like to purchase the hard top separately, the price is $1500 The car only had liability insurance at the time, so the damages were NOT reported to the insurance company. Therefore the car has a CLEAN TITLE with no mention of water damage on the carfax or auto check reports. This vehicle was immaculate and maintained at the dealer since day 1. Before the water damages, this was valued at $15k. Perfect project for a Porsche enthusiast. My carrera 993 was also damaged by the storm and has been sold already. Both of these cars were in the family since new and it pains us to sell them, but we dont have the time or energy to look into repairs. Car was up on ebay previously but the bidder could not come up with the funds: Porsche : Boxster NO RESERVE in Porsche | eBay Motors |
Sorry for your lose on this car. Are you interested in selling the cover separately?

For now I'm just focusing on selling the car. But I'll keep you in mind

You'd be better off replacing the ECU/immobilizer or whatever is keeping the engine from running and then trying to sell the car in at least running condition.
When selling a car that has documented flood damage "as is" and in non-running condition, buyers have to assume that the engine/ECU/immobilizer/fuse panel/power locks/power windows/etc are damaged/ruined from salt water instrusion. Plus, without a running engine there is no way to check the operation of engine accessories like power steering, air conditioning, water pump, etc. The bottom line is this reduces the value of the car to about $2K. |
Sold for $5k as is. Thanks everyone
