The way I figure it, the car without the upgraded engine is probably worth maybe 9 grand or so. If someone bought one and did the work I did - It'd be about another $10,000 or so, not counting Labor.

I'm asking 18,500 obo. Car is Located in Plattsburgh, NY

I can't quite make out the details in the images, do you have larger versions you could post?

:p

Looks nice, GLWS.

quattrogeek 10-20-2011 10:19 AM

Yeah...ummm... I guess it's clear that I don't know how to resize images..... :)

dallison 10-20-2011 12:33 PM

What color is it?

quattrogeek 10-20-2011 03:12 PM

It's a metallic black. I should probably post the name of the color. I'll look it up tomorrow.

Ooow i'm a fan of the interior. Do you have a dyno for the new motor? WHP? WTQ? Have any idea? Final curb weight?

A little more info would be nice :P Bigger isn't always better :D (but im sure this is... lol)

BTW, where are the cupholders in this one?? 0.o lol

quattrogeek 10-22-2011 11:42 AM

I'm headed to the dyno this week. I meant to do it all summer but I was busy, well, driving it :)

Mrmaddbrad 10-22-2011 09:50 PM

Haha alright! Well im curious to find out what it is!! Who was your tuner?

quattrogeek 10-23-2011 11:47 AM

So am I! The tuner was European A u t o h a u s in Plattsburgh, NY.....or, in other words, Me.

Mrmaddbrad 10-23-2011 12:42 PM

Ahahaha thats awesome :P Well hurry up and run to the dyno!! I must know!! lol

Oh and how much did you plan on selling it for again? still the same price?

quattrogeek 10-23-2011 04:12 PM

Yup, same price.... I basically donated my labor.....

quattrogeek 10-23-2011 04:13 PM

Yup, same price. I basically donated my labor!

quattrogeek 10-26-2011 05:44 PM

The results are in: 242hp at the crank, and 231 lbft of torque.....

Mrmaddbrad 10-26-2011 08:23 PM

mmhmm very nice. So whats that to the wheels? Typical 15% flywheel loss sooo.... like 206hp to the wheels? Isn't that less than a stock 2.7? Hmm... Interesting...

quattrogeek 10-27-2011 01:15 AM

The 206hp at the wheels is correct. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that Porsche gives the ratings at the wheel, just the crank. That said, the 2.7 stock, according to porsche specs is 217 hp, compared to my 242. The torque is 192 lbft to my 231 lbft. That does assume 15% drivetrain losses, as you said. It is more powerful than a stock 2.7 to be certain.

Mrmaddbrad 10-28-2011 10:20 PM

Ooooh yeah, i guess i didn't factor in that stock isn't at the wheels :P Haha, sorry about that :P Dang, thats quite a bit more torque! Hows it feel? :P

quattrogeek 10-29-2011 12:45 PM

It definitely feels quicker than an S. I guess it's true that people ask for horsepower and buy torque!

quattrogeek 11-20-2011 05:25 PM

Bump.......

You have a very nice car. With all your mods and upgrades you may want to drive that car for a while. It is very hard to get Mod Money back. $18.5K seams too steep with all the under $10K cars available.

Agreed. Seeing that i could buy a 1997 boxster with a bad engine for like $4000, put a 3.2L carrera motor in it for like $6000, put in a limited slip for another $2000, add the right headlights, taillights, and interior for another $4000 and walk away with the boxster i've always dreamed of for $16000... But i would NEVER be able to sell it for that.

You have a beautiful car man, drive it and appriciate it... If you planned on making money off of it, theres no way, sorry to break it to you man. Hope all is well.
