For sale - 2006 Boxster S

Sold to fellow forum member! 10/14/2011

As much as I hate to, I'm putting my Box up for sale.
I need to make some investments in my business in order to take advantage of a couple of good opportunities.

If you happen to have a 5 axis CNC router, I'll talk trades!!

The car is a Porsche Certified 2006 Boxster S - black with sand beige interior. Bi-xenon lights are the only option, so it is light and quick. 48,700 miles
The certification is good through 4/2012 and 100 k miles.
Asking $29,800.00
It has anthracite OZ Racing wheels with Sumitoma HTR-Zlll tires - about 8k miles on the tires and in VERY good shape. It has been used mainly for cruising with wifey.
It also has Cayman side grilles painted to match the wheels and Schnell Short Shifter. I have the original side grilles and shifter - included with sale.
The top was treated with Aerospace 303 top conditioner 3/2011.
All vinyl seals and interior surfaces have been treated with Aerospace 303 annually. Aerospace 303 replinishes lost polymer aromatics and is HIGHLY recommended.

Seems like a good price. GLWS!:)

I have a 2006 987S that I paid $67K when new. I figure it's worth less than 1/2 now after 5.5 years. These toys do depreciate, but I've thoroughly enjoyed comsuming the +$30K in value. That's the cost of admission.

On the other hand regarding depreciation, my 993 Turbo cost me more than 1/2 the original MSRP from 1997 when I bought in 2009. Now with an additional 17,000 miles I can sell for what I paid plus an additional $10K. That's nice.

We're putting the car back on the market tomorrow, I'll come back and put the ebay link in, as soon as I have it.
I've reduced the price to 26,995.00 and, as everything else, it's negotiable.
I couldn't have picked a worse time to advertise it the first time. It was just about the time the debt ceiling crisis hit and NO-ONE was buying anything.
Oh well.

Here is the link to Premier Auto Source ad on the car: http://www.premierautosource.com/boxster.php

Happy motoring!!

Kurt - I just sold my Benz and got a truck for a year...don't keep temping me, I was going to put the extra cash into the house. Anyway good luck, I know it is a really nice car. My 2000 'S' is still enjoying the 2006 'S' original rims :)

WhipE350 09-14-2011 06:08 PM

Tuan - you just want a 280hp Boxster 'S' to speed past me! Sure would be nice for those 4 hour trips

Kurt - you did notice the price Premeir has is less.
