For Sale: 2001 Sliver Boxster, 57k miles, Immaculate condition. Tiptronic in LA, CA

I just went to carmax and got an offer for $10,000 to sell to carmax. However, they did not take into account the mods I had professionally installed:

1. High Flow Exhaust ~ -$1,000
2. Back Speakers $200
3. Double Din Touchscreen Headunit for radio, SD card, Bluetooth etc...-$500
4. LED Tailights -$250
5. Replaced factory speakers with infinity speakers~$100

So over $2,000 in mods :(. Also, I had after market warranty and spent over $5k to prevent an RMS leak from the dealer (Have receipt!). It has been properly maintained with all records from dealer!

Everything is in immaculate condition. There is a scratch on the lower bumper on the driver back side. Never been to a track.

If interested, please call me at 626 227 4118, $12,000 obo. First high offer gets it.

Oh and I live near Los Angeles, CA

Add some pics, but you should be able to get that for it. Stay away from carmax. Back in 2001 I had an awesome Miata Sport I bought new, put 2000 miles on it for the 18 months I had it, never saw a rain drop and was covered in the garage...I paid 21k for it, carmax offered me 14k for it, I sold it two weeks later for 19.5k.

Anyway sounds like a nice car.

That's a good price for your car but keep in mind you will never get back money spent on most mods and often times they will actually depreciate your car.

Not to mention

any dealer has to figure in selling costs, interest on the loan to carry the car waiting for it to sell, clean up costs, profit (not a dirty word), etc.

And mods almost never add and frequently detract from the value of the car. Repairs never unless in a private sale to a knowledgeable buyer. The buyer assumes everything is just fine and doesn't care what it cost you to make it that way.

That is a good price even at $12k for around here but every market is local.
