Looking for wheels

Hi gang:

A couple of questions on wheels. I currently have the factory sport package wheels running 17in 205s front and 17in 255s back. Any recommendations for going to 18in with 205 front and 265 back?

Also, does the Boxster and the 993/996s have similar bolt patterns?

I appreciate it in advance,

Speef

They have the same bolt patterns. But in my case (18in Carrera) they are diffrent from the wheels they would put on a Carrera.

Thank you for the reply. To clarify, are you saying that the 18in Carrera wheels will not fit on the Boxster?
I really lik ethe wheels the Carreras use... this is why I ask...

No, there are a set of wheels designed for the Boxster and one set designed for the Carrera. I have forgotten what is diffrent between them. But there is a set for the Boxster.

996 wheels fit fine with spacers - but if you only want to go to the 225/265 18" tires the Boxster 18" wheels will be cheaper and work fine.

What is your goal with wheels?

size for appearance?
lowered look?
autocross performance?
Track/DE driving?

There are lots of variables for wheels and tires

If you want to get rid or your 17's let me know

The offset is the only difference and that can be compensated for with "proper" spacers.
