3.4L Boxster, 996 Engine Transplant $23k obo

I am selling my '98 Boxster that just received a '99 996 3.4L engine transplant. 65k on the car, ~30k miles on the engine (the engine had ~15k mi on it when I bought it and I ran it in my other car until that car received a 3.6L this past fall). When installed in my other car this motor put down 280hp at the wheels.

Black with black interior and the following options:

232 17" tires
274 vanity mirrors, illuminated
396 cast wheel, 17" twist wheels
424 console CD compartment
454 cruise control
490 MJ -01 Sound system
502 Valmet production
535 remote locking/trunk release, alarm unit 315 MHz (I have both remote keys and the valet key)
551 wind deflector (no longer present)
582 storage pocket over engine cover
688 CDR 210 head unit, with radio code

I'll get some pictures up this weekend, but it looks like a stock boxster.
$23k obo

Todd

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

Todd, if I lived in the US I will take it off you in a heart beat. What a bargain. 1997 base Boxsters still cost AUD$50k here in Australia. I hate Australia (but like it for other reasons)!

Engines can be obtained from a number of sources, monitor the online bb's, check ebay, the common porsche dismantlers or buy one new from Porsche.
