GT3 Muffler
 

Anyone try this, plan on fitting this muffler to a header exhaust on a 3.2

What car is that exhaust from? I guess it might be hard to get it to fit behind the gearbox, isn't it?

I plan on using the 981 mufflers on my 986.

Still not sure about that one, but it does seem like a 982 muffler (GT4 for example) might fit.

Any input on compatibility of mufflers between the different models Boxster / Cayman (986 up to 982)? So not from perspective of pipes, but would it mechanically fit behind the gearbox, in the chassis and withing the rear bumper?

I have a 986. It is rather noisy at the moment with a muffler I was able to find at a local breaker (one of the few that will clear the G87.21 gearbox and still connect up to 986 exhaust pipes). So with the V8 swap planned anyway, I would look into any muffler that would fit and be sized appropriately for the V8. (So looking at 981 PSE or 982 GT in particular. Open for input!). Might as well first fit this and the V8 later (long project).
