AEM CD-7 Dash tach setting

For the people that have put an aftermarket Dash in their boxster, what setting for cycles/rev have you used to get the tach to read correctly?

I am pulling the tach signal off the wire feeding the rpm signal to the instrument cluster from the DME.

Thanks

JC

On my AIM MXL Pista I have it set to Signal/3.

I pulled the signal off the OBDII plug.

I’ll give that a try. 6 didn’t work and I read somewhere that someone was using 4 but that didn’t make any sense on 6cyl engine.
