986S Remote Clutch Bleeder- DIY

I installed a new clutch slave cylinder in my 2004 986 S. Decided to add a remote clutch bleeder to make bleeding easier and less messy.

Parts Needed (All ordered on ebay- Approx $35.00)

M12 x 1.5 to AN -3 adapter (for the sachs plastic slave, metal slave likely uses a different bleeder screw)
AN-3 Female to AN-3 Female braided line with right angle on one sided -(I used 18 inch, depending on where you mount the bleeder, can use any lengh you want.)
Russell 641370 remote Speed-bleeder Kit
Generic grommit

Remove Bleeder screw on Slave cylinder and replace with M12 to AN-3 adapter. Use teflon tape to seal threads.

(You do not have to remove the slave to do this. If you do this with the slave in the car, either drain the clutch line first or be prepared for leaking brake fluid

- Attach AN-3 braided line to adapter.
- Drill a hole to allow passage into the trunk and pass the braided line into the trunk
- Place grommit over the line and in the hole to prevent damage to braided line ( used a PCV grommit from Autozone)
- Mount the bracket supplied with the Russell kit
- Assemble Bleeder to AN line and insert bleeder screw
-Bleed clutch using power bleeder and catch bottle attached to bleder in the trunk. No more acrobatics!
