so finally, ive decided to remove it with all the rear brake parts, really clean look hahaha
are you guys removing the bracket in front of the engine that hold the parking brake cables?? |
If it doesn't make the car go it goes.
Oh and although I advocate removing the e brake I personally would suggest leaving the rear brakes on. |
Every time you ask yourself "should I remove this?" Ask yourself this also: "does it weigh more than zero?"
I have removed every other bolt that holds the front fenders on! lol |
I know Brad and I both have spent days cutting away unused wires that don't even register on a scale but they all add up. My car is now at the point where if I am personally at my fighting weight I have to add 25lbs ballast to reach the correct weight (and thats with the cool suit in and full). That's about where I like it. I have met many a competetitor who wonders why my car seems to accelerate faster than theirs only to discover they weigh a hundred pounds more when scale time comes
|
Many times competitors have seen my cars go across the scales, only to comment "cutting it close there?" I say no, at 2655 I miscalculated!!
The key? And something everyone seems to forget (and occasionally get called on) ALWAYS run YOUR car over "their" scales. They don't care what your alignment guy's scales said, it's what THEIR scales say!! If they are off (race orgs scales) it is your responsibility!! Not theirs!! Do not get DQ'd because of weight when running a few lbs over min. |

I am going to have to use a custom fabbed steal mount for my lever. |
Ummm... You're mad at Porsche for not making a parking brake assembly that's suitable for drifting ? Really ?
