Need help to remove HVAC unit.

I have my dashboard out and I would like to remove the HVAC unit. I thought it would not be so difficult with the dash out but it still is very congested. Any help would be appreciated, I don't want to reinstall it, I just want to get rid of it to loose the weight. Bill, Pgh, PA

I can't think what specific help you should need. Ive done this job twice and I remember it as simply unplugging, unbolting and pulling out. The most difficult part was getting the AC system sucked. If you have a specific question ask away and I'll see what I can offer. Currently sitting in hospital so no access to notes or car but I've got a pretty good memory.

Thanks for getting back, I found a write up and got it done last night. I didn't realize you had to remove the knee bar, that made it easier. Bill, Pgh, PA

Thanks Kenny, doing my best to get out if here ASAP. Missing a club race for an organ transplant doesn't seem like a fair trade.
