AutoClub Speedway Infield Course DE Video

Here is a video from last weekend's DE with the POC. I edited out the boring stuff to show you some chasing around and three spins by other cars...

nice video! can't believe you were knocking on that carrera's door so long without a point-by! finally a loud fearsome GT scared him into the grass (a fate befitting ***holes that don't let faster traffic pass). i'm actually surprised you didn't start flashing your lights & honking your horn.....

Looking good Thomas! Time for a more experienced run group?? :D

Yeah, the guy in the Carerra was wearing my patience thin. If you listen to the audio, you'll hear me complain out loud!

Topless, at this point, I'd say that I'm probably not quite fast/good enough for the next up run group but more than fast/good enough for the group that I ran with in the video. A few more events and I'm hoping to be fast/good enough to move up and be able to keep up.

Thanks for the positive comments! I'm addicted to track driving. :D

I'm surprised there were so many spins. They treat them pretty seriously at Pacific raceways. But then again, there's little run-off and lots of trees at Pacific.

Not only was the guy in the 911 not waiving you by, he was all over the road. And trailbraking alot! He was bound to spin eventually.

You don't have blue flags at that event? Or black?

What you see in the video is edited down from 2hrs, 40mins of video (four 20-min sessions per day x two days) so it wasn't as crazy out there as the clip implies. Also, there is a lot of paved runoff at this track and few obstacles.

Yeah, the guy in the 911 was WAY over-driving the car. Usually getting a point by isn't an issue at all but in this case I was just trying to stay in his mirror and be patient. In short order, he took care of it himself!

And yes, the course workers have a blue/yellow flag for "faster traffic" and black to bring someone in if they want.
