Wow, that's great! Those will look good.

Coincidently I just received my annual bonus (I knew it was coming) today and bought the factory Litronic headlight kit to celebrate. I also bought a 996 gauge cluster to swap in as well.

unklekraker 03-09-2007 09:12 AM

Thanks thumper! me too, i knew it was coming but wasn't expecting so soon :) bought wifey a set of Gucci bag instead of GT3 kit like the one from TriGem2k...probably next year :D

YellowJacket 03-09-2007 09:25 AM

Ah, I love bonus season! Mine comes in next Wednesday, although unfortunately, it has already been budgeted for more practical purposes related to our 1 year old home: some new furniture, and some landscaping (it's obscene how expensive professional landscaping is!!!).

Maybe I can sneak in some some clear tailights without the wife noticing...

djomlas 03-09-2007 09:26 AM

very nice man, very nice. what kinda tires you gonna go with?

where do you work btw, if you dont mind sharing?

unklekraker 03-09-2007 09:40 AM

It comes with Hankook tires. Here's the description of the wheels:
18" Carrera Lightweight wheels. Sized (2)18x8et 50mm and (2)18x10et 47mm. These wheels are made with exact specifications and are of excellent quality. These wheels are almost as light as the originals and are stronger. They are TUV approved. Silver and black caps are included.

Wheels come mounted and balanced with Hankook K104 tires in 225/40/ZR18 and 265/35/ZR18 ready to install.

I was going to get the wheels only from other seller but it might take me awhile before i could get tires for it and I want to install it right away :D

Yah, I work for CSAA/ IT Operation Supervisor :)

Porscheburn 03-09-2007 09:52 AM

And all I got was new high heels.

Sigh.............:ah:

TriGem2k 03-09-2007 10:09 AM

Hey Unk...

Why the color crested wheel caps? I'd personally stick with the black & whites it comes with. Anyway if you do get the color crested ones PM me and let me know what you want for the black & whites.

BTW Sweet Wheels. I love those.

blinkwatt 03-09-2007 10:11 AM

@ unkle,

I have the same wheels on my car. You could check them out at the meet tomorrow if you want.

super66 03-09-2007 10:26 AM

unklekraker 03-09-2007 10:30 AM

Yeah I could help out w/ pulling it out. I hope you don't have virgin ears though, the thing is a PITA to pull out.

The center caps that come with the wheels suck! They are stickers..............Thankfully I had my colored ones from my 18" Technology set.

TriGem2k 03-09-2007 10:58 AM

Oh how exciting you get stickers....lol. I think your better off ordering the OEM colored ones Unk.

unklekraker 03-09-2007 11:00 AM

I know ,G! i was about to tell you that if you still want a sticker..hehehehehehe!

boggtown 03-09-2007 11:12 AM

Id save up a few more clams and go for the no turn ones. They are like 300 bucks but they look sweet.

Got my bonus earlier this month. And, the Boxster is now paid off :)

It's good to be without a car payment

So I guess I can start putting money into upgrades now, keep eyeing the 19" wheels as well.
