Boxster License Plates

Many Boxster owners have personalized license plates. Just wondering what some of the better ones are.

I've seen [TOY BOX] being driven around here.

What are some of the better ones you've seen?

jfmillr 04-29-2004 04:08 PM

I have a 2000 boxster and have as a personal plate "09860"

Gerry Leacock 04-29-2004 04:31 PM

Don't think my wife would want to drive one with [NICEBOX] or [MY BOX] on it!!! :)

aesir 04-29-2004 09:14 PM

Boxster License Plates

My plate is not Boxster specific, but it sshould grant me some leeway and/or professional courtesy when I'm speeding through certain areas of this great land of ours.

The plate reads 3-7-77

For anyone who knows the story behind those numbers and if you're around the Seattle area, I may just buy you a cup of Starbucks favorite and we can trade stories.

So by vocally opposing disorder (i.e. being an advocate of law and order) it's okay to cause disorder (speeding)? ;)

Boxster License Plates

Just remember, where those numbers originated and where I grew up, the daytime limit was "reasonable and proper". This meant that they left you alone as long as you drove professionally and weren't doing anything stupid. And, no, doing a 105mph down the road in the right conditions was not considered stupid.

aesir 05-04-2004 09:44 AM

I can see that. Too bad I'm too far away to claim my free Starbucks! lol ;)

Alshig 05-08-2004 04:37 PM

My plates read: GOT BOXS

Gerry Leacock 06-03-2004 12:42 PM

Saw a Boxster with a good one today: [CARPE DM]

bodacious 07-15-2004 07:29 AM

Mine reads FR8PAID. I work for a trucklines.

Jeannot 07-15-2004 10:04 AM

...and here we can't change them so it's a stupid 6 digit number :-(

Subanez 07-17-2004 02:55 AM

ZOOOOM.

Not mine, but I saw it driving around in NH. I'm still sportin' the random assemblage of numbers and letters given to me by the nice people at the DMV.

BOX5TER 07-19-2004 02:00 AM

I tried to get BOXSTER but someone already had it so I used a 5 instead of the S, hence BOX5TER

QporscheQ 07-19-2004 06:24 AM

I saw two pretty good plates a while back but neither were on a Boxster. One was a 944 and the other a 928 ( if I remember correctly)

The 944's was "SPIELN" and the 928's was ( honest to God) "PORSCHE"

For those of you that don't speak German, "spielen" is the verb "to play"

bamaboxster 08-06-2004 08:41 PM

Reason for the tag:

Worked very hard off my old debts, bought my first house (only new debt) and started a new business.

This 2004 Boxster is my reward. Its paid for.

IOU ZERO, I have another version of this tag on my Jeep IOUZRO

I think its a little obnoxious, because its on a Porsche. BTW I have received a number of interesting comments about this tag.

It also pisses off my ex, the one that thought I would never amount to anything.

Gerry Leacock 08-07-2004 12:59 PM

>It also pisses off my ex, the one that thought I would never >amount to anything.

New Porsche Boxster: US$42,000
Personalized Plates: $50
Pissing off the ex: PRICELESS!

Rail26 07-06-2005 04:18 PM

I saw a Box yesterday that said "NO VNE". The pilots out there knows what this means!

JP-s-in st. louis 07-06-2005 05:58 PM

Mine would be Prwitt (my last name is Prewitt). This way when I vallet park in front of a club and all my ex's that thought I would never amount to anything will see it. The best is when you hop out tell the vallet to leave it and walk straight in while they wait in line. Yea I know it is petty but damm fun.

deliriousga 07-06-2005 07:15 PM

Oh Yeah

Ours is "OHYEAHH". The wife's first reaction when I asked if she liked the test drive. :D

RandallNeighbour 07-07-2005 07:29 AM

Mine is on the way... the nice lady at the DMV said it wasn't taken:

SCHNEL or SCHNLL (This is the German word for FAST)

Because we're limited to 6 letters or numbers here in Texas, it's hard to spell words or phrases, and most of the good ones are taken without opportunity for variance.

I unsuccessfully tried to register these:

HIOFCR <-- thought this one was hilarious.

IGONOW <-- A personal saying of mine that all my friends know.

License Plate

I've got mine reserved for 06'. It will say "FETISH". BTW, it also means obsession!. Let's keep it clean.

JP-s-in st. louis 07-07-2005 03:59 PM

Fetish??

Yea but what does it mean to YOU?

TOM986 07-07-2005 05:10 PM

i wanted "GR8 BOX" , but the wife says NO!

Rail26 07-07-2005 05:20 PM

GR8 Box...Nice! Gee, I can't believe the wife wouldn't approve of that one? I guess "Red Box" or "Her Box" would be out of the question also...?!

Fetish??

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Yea but what does it mean to YOU?"

To me, it means "obsession", but let your imagination run wild. That's why I think its a such a great plate. ;)

RandallNeighbour 07-13-2005 02:36 PM

I received my personalized plates yesterday... and last week the custom-made spoiler emblem came in as well.

When I go slow, everyone will see Fast! (in German, of course) When I am driving fast, they'll see Go Faster! :)

In case anyone wonders why I didn't put the E in SCHNLL it's because Texas doesn't allow for seven letters or digits in personalized plates... just six. I guess we just don't have enough cars on the road here to warrant it like CA has. That's a good thing I guess!

Rail26 07-13-2005 02:38 PM

Nice! Hopefully the cops don't speak German. By the way, where did you get the stickers?

How about B0XSTER (that's a ZERO instead of an O)?

Or for those lengthy Euro plates... "CMLXXXVI"
