987 side grills -- how to remove?

Boxsters and Boxsterettes,

I know this is mostly 986 guys/gals, but...

does anyone know how to remove the side grills from a 987?

I have not (yet) had the luxury of actually looking at one
closely, so I don't have a way to personally examine how
to do it.

I wouldn't think it's difficult, but in the back of what's left
of my mind, I think I have read there is one screw to
remove and pull it out carefully from here and here
and here.

But I don't know where the heres are. Or if the single
screw thing is even accurate.

Would anyone here know and be kind enough to reply
as to how to do this?

Thank you all for your time and attention.

All the best,

- Mark

^yes its a great mod IMHO. Much more fluid look on the Cayman grills than the MR2'ish 987 grills.

I was just planning to have them painted to match the
car's color.

My theory is that the grills would not stand out so much.
If the car were silver, it wouldn't matter, but in the darker
colors it does indeed look sort of like a Mr. Two.

And wouldn't Cayman grills look out of place???

Mark, get the painted vents from Eric at Bumperplugs, and then give the painted vents to the dealership, and have them do the install. That's how I did it.
