Disconnect seat-belt chime..?

I wonder if there's an easy way to disconnect the seat-belt reminder-chime, while still have the key & lights reminder intact..?

Dude a few people including myself have asked this question only to get all the smart-a$$es that offer no help but only say "to wear your seat belt" yada-yada.

Like we don't know this already. But that wasn't the questions now was it?? :troll:

That's exactly my point -- since I compulsively use my seat belt, I don't need/want to hear that annoying sound in the short interim of the ignition key being in and before managing to buckle up. Hence, I want to disconnect it. Any advice appreciated.

Heres the answer to your seatbelt chime problem, Get a Passenger side seat belt installed on the driversside. Passenger seatbelt recepticle does not have the 2 other wires for the reminder and the chime activates on when there is a connection between those 2 wires inside the recepticle when the buckle is removed from it. So the passenger side doesnt have those 2 wires for the chime... You can either buy a new passenger side recepticle from Porsche for about 67 bucks or figure out which of the 4 wires are the 2 that make the chime go off and cutting them.

I guess you can goto the dealer and have a look at a passenger and drivers side recepticle and compair the connecters that way to see which wires to cut.
