went to 9 different muffler shops, no one can bend a pipe for me
i bought some piping to do the Pedro sport exhaust mod, but no one can bend the pipes for me. they all said that they can bend only 3in piping, wtf.
so what do i do now? can i get some 90 degree bends and maybe veld them on there, im confused. one place did say that they can do it somehow and when they saw that i have a porsche they said they can do it for 750 dollars...needless to sayi was outta there in half a second. any help is appreciated |
Hmm, guess it wasnt such a good idea after all. Why not just drill holes in your pipes and not worry about the tubes connecting it to your exhaust tip? Cause thats all your doing, drilling a hole in your exhaust.

well i mean essentially that is what im doing, but i dont want it to be that hack. lol .
but i do see what ure saying. |
Well, Id look at something more daring, and easier. If I was gonna go that route Id take a 90 degree pipe I bought from Lowes (im sure they sell 90 degree bend pipes in either 1 or 2 inch widths) and weld it in from the incoming pipe straight to the muffler body. That way you bypass all that internal plumbing, you retain all exhaust comming out of the tip, all of your pipe is not going to be longer than like 4 inches a side, and you might pass inspection because its going back into the muffler... but who knows.

im trying to imagine/picure this, but have no idea what ure talking about :)

But on both sides.

Muffler Mod
Interesting idea to bypass at least some of the baffles inside the muffler. Does it mean it could be 50% louder than th stock muffler?

yes i have seen this also. im not sure if it adds to the sound, im not sure why you would do this......

Ya, for real, just get some valves. Easy, and effective.
