installed a short throw today

wow what a difference. i really like how its very precise, install went pretty easy, took me about an hour or so i would say. the only 'problem' i encountered was that it didnt want to go to 1st and 2nd, but turns out that the bolts were too tight.

went out for a test drive, and heres a pic of the car from just a few mins ago...what salt and snow?

a) how on earth do you keep the car that clean! my car is a disaster right now

b) easy install? what brand of shifter? I have been sitting on my schnell for fear that I might not like it...

c) I left you a message in the Porsche lounge area if you didn't see it can you check it out? tried to send a PM but your inbox was full

d) I cant believe how much the color of your car changes depending on light....look great

djomlas 01-22-2007 08:54 PM

hey.
well for keeping it clean, i dunno man, i never liked to drive a dirty car, porsche or not, so they always clean. everyone that knows me if they see my car dirty they think someogn happened to me since its not clean, so its like 99$ of the time clean.

its a B&M clone i picked up off ebay, some guy bought it and then decided that he wont put it on so he sold it for less than what they usually go for. arrived here in 2 days :)
if you need some help installing it ill be happy to swing by and help you out.

i just cleared the inbox, it doesnt tell me that its full so i never knew.

and yes, the color is weird as hell, it keeps changing...i absolutely love it, out of all colors i picked this one so it tells u how much i like it. i always tought i would end up w a red porsche since its my fav color and i had numerous red cars, but this color is just stunning depending on light and even better in person.

this is the shifter i installed (one part not pictured)

wow dj the car is lookin sweeeet.

i love the exhaust tip, i never did before i saw this pic. i think i'll have to
find me one.

dmcutter 01-23-2007 08:28 AM

I love the spoiler. And Super66 must have been very uncomfortable sitting on a shifter like that....

djomlas 01-23-2007 10:04 AM

hahah, yea didnt wanna comment on that, but now that u mention it, the shifter is pretty "long" :)

and for the exhaust tip, its eisennman one, i just saw one on ebay end for like 120ish last time i checked.
but its really big tho, so the urge to get a twin one is kinda put down.

Holy cow ! $5500 for an Eisenmann exhaust !

For another $500 I would rather pick up a supercharger :D

Why in the world is Eisenmann so expensive ?

i made it myself. its brushed aluminum

and then after i pout it on i was looking at some race cars on the net, and saw a porsche with that saying on windsiheld, i was like damn, but i really dont care since it was my original idea and i was not aware of anyone else having this. i love it.

i got so many people pull up to me and say "what the hell does that say back there?" and one guy said he started reading it and i was pulling away, hehehe, well that was the intention, but i guess next time i gotta give them time to read and then speed up hehehe
fun

Grizzly 01-26-2007 07:35 PM

I gotta tell you DJ, you have a real eye for photography. The angles, light and shadows you use are consistently outstanding. Car looks great man, as always.

wanna986 01-26-2007 08:32 PM

What make camera do you use? Specs?
Is the last pic unretouched?
Looks great.

djomlas 01-26-2007 09:02 PM

the camera im using is a canon powershot s50, its just a 6mp camera.
the only thing done to the pic is resize, as the original is huge, 2592x1944 to be specific.

i am thinking of upgrading to a DSLR sometime soon, but for now this will do, i love the thing too much to get rid of it, i dunno y i get so attached to my cameras :)
