I installed the factory speaker set a few years ago, and I was wondering how much a difference putting in the batting makes on the sound. Bascially, is it worth my time to remove the rear shelf just to install the batting?

Hi,

Well it does make a difference. How much is pretty much subjective. There are numerous reasons to remove the Box from time-to-time, get the materials (only a couple bucks) and do it then, takes maybe 20 min. max. Hope this helps...

The box is the same doesnt matter of the year.

I think the black will look fine with gray as long as there is some other stuff in the car that is black.
