bodykit removed

I decided the body did not look good on my car looked "ricer", and also not practical since it's fiberglass. The fact that it's fiberglass makes it chip so easy with rocks on the highway. So here is my question I want to remove the excess glue that the kit was put on with. Any products that can do this?

What? No pictures?

Did you put it on yourself or have a body shop do it?

reason: If body shop, then they should be able to tell you what product would work and may assist.

Or if you did it yourself maybe some acetone (sp?)

You may want to give Goo Gone a shot, should be available at Target or some big chain retail store.

A bodyshop put it on for me but like i said didn't like the way it looked .. just didn't make the car look like a porsche made it look like a honda... So i removed the front bumper part and side skirts....To answer the other question about what bodykit it is http://jdltuning.com/

Yeah I could see where I would tear off the front bumper on my driveway too, that lip is pretty low. I guest we will see that bumper on eBay soon

After seeing those pictures its a wise choice to remove it!

clb0099 01-19-2007 04:39 PM

lol.. trigem .. no mor like the garbage .. not going to waste my time putting it on ebay. It looks alot higher on the site then in person . So no suggestions on how to remove the glue. Someone suggested acetone but will it remove the paint from the car?

djomlas 01-19-2007 06:21 PM

acetone may remove the paint. try goo gone, or better yet put some bug and tar remover on there and let it sit on there for a few minutes and it shold get it loose.

btw, how much did you pay fotr that body kit?

clb0099 01-19-2007 06:54 PM

500 and the bug and tar does not work not strong enough at all .... The goo gone not strong enough either... I am going to bring it back to the bodyshop and have the glue removed....
