I tried painting them in an attempt to protect the bare metal and help prevent rust, I suspect that a sprayed paint finish will not stick all that well even after cleaning the bolts first, but I wanted to give it a try while the metal was fresh, time will tell,

I hope that paint doesn't chip off when you go to torque them in!

I'd be interested to see some before and after pics of the wheels in the wheel well. I've been considering these since my M030 upgrade but it's hard for me to imagine what a track increase of 2/10" per side looks like, that's pretty small.
