I would say, an arm and a leg mine is due for a "Service A" and it will cost me $325 and that's for a small engine (too shy to type my engine size)

Blkboxster, very nice new ride. Congrats! I am a little suprised though, that someone under the age of 21 desired this specific Mercedes. What say you, young man?

those service A and B are BS, just do it urself for pennies.
check out the benzworld.org site and look to see whats covered under that.
my GF paid for A, but B would be just too stupid looking at what is included.
look it up

If you do an "A" or "B" on your own, how are you going to re-set the computer?

yah, after i found out the cost, i start lurking around benz forum (didn't sign up, the air in that forum are way different than here..IMHO) but since it's the first time that it wil need a Service A, I would bring it to the shop and probably they might find something there that needs to be work on that's under the warranty, like what I did with the box.

Other than that, my next service A or B would be from my local mechanic

*it's always like a rule of thumb for me to bring the car to the dealer for the first 2 service that's needed and then back to the local shop for the future service

nice, seems like a good idea.
i NEVER go to dealer, no matter what pretty much, i truly hate dealers and their games and lies, so i just dont want any business with them (other than some odds and ends and parts)

edit: although i must say my last encounter with a dealer was pretty good experienc, talked to him a total of 16hrs negotiatiang the car, and got a good deal. thenwhen i showed up there i got additional 980 dollars off
