Weird Warranty Question
Hi everyone,
I recently test drove a 2003 base with 32,365 miles. It is in great shape and of course I would get a PPI before the final purchase, but I asked the salesman about the warranty and he said it is just out of the warranty period due to the date it was registered. I ran the carfax report myself and it says the warranty still has 9 months or 17,635 miles after I ran the updated basic warranty check. Carfax says the warranty period started on 9/20/03. Can this be right? It is coming from a Porsche dealership, so I would suspect they know what they are talking about. In the next breath he started talking about the certified pre owned program. Hmmm. Any comments?
