Jeph 01-01-2007 12:37 PM

What exactly did you do?

AUDIOGUY 01-01-2007 12:39 PM

It looks like duct tape... what is it?

DAAM421 01-01-2007 12:49 PM

SORRY , BUT THAT LOOKS GHETTO FAB...doesn t look good,,should be color matched to car if anything, why do people do cheap ghetto things like this to porsches :(

djomlas 01-01-2007 12:57 PM

its aluminum paint, perfect match to the rest of the headlight housing.
well i guess ill 'ghetto' it up some more since porsche gave me the 'nonghetto' orange

compare it to the picture in my signature, and u tell me that orange looks better :ah:

DAAM421 01-01-2007 01:02 PM

sorry to hurt your feels dude .,,rather would stay amber and spend the 3 [dolla] on clear lens

Boxtaboy 01-01-2007 01:06 PM

Not bad actually. I think it looks better than the orange and turquoise at least. One of the guys from a group drive I went on this weekend bought the real oem clear side markers and corners for his amber headlights, and then smoke tinted the remaining amber on the headlight. Looked ok to me.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. But maybe you could be a bit less of a putz when expressing them.....

Happy New Year!

djomlas 01-01-2007 01:36 PM

yea dude, i dont know what was w that comment, sure people are entitled to their opinion, but i dont know anyone that would agree that orange would look better instead of that silver i applied on there. it almost looks like it should have come on the car like that.
i uploaded better pictures, u b the judge

unklekraker 01-01-2007 01:48 PM

deng, walmart has porsche parts :D
dj, that looks good! are you planning to be completely deamberfied? i think that would look really hot!

i said the car would look hot not the driver....ahahahahahaha!

RandallNeighbour 01-01-2007 02:07 PM

DJ, I think you're on to something. What if you had a body shop paint the orange bit the turqoise color of the car? I've seen silver and black boxster owners do this and it looks pretty good.

djomlas 01-01-2007 03:00 PM

no i will stick w this, no need to color match anything

DAAM421 01-01-2007 03:16 PM

ALRIGHT. PEOPLE KEEP YOUR PANTIES ON..DENVERPETE SLOW DOWN ON THE NAME CALLING. [PUTZ]?? THIS MY 2 CENTS . WHAT ARE YOU ON THE RAG? CHILL OUT

jmabasa 01-01-2007 04:07 PM

I like it plus it beats having to shell out so much money for the clear headlights. Looks good.

boggtown 01-01-2007 04:10 PM

Ya, Daam421 said the same "stuff" to me when I did mine black. With all due respect... I think putz is a lot nicer name than what you really are, so chill out. I dont think ive done a better mod than getting rid of the halloween effect my car had. So DJ, did you go along the "orange top" or along the little indentation line when you masked it off and painted. I did mine along the top of orange so it was all gone, just wondering what your approach was.

djomlas 01-01-2007 04:14 PM

well if you go along the line u can still see orange, so i jsut went a little over that line all the way trough, and now all is gone.

DAAM421 01-01-2007 04:28 PM

boggtown

i hurt your feels too..yours really looked like ********************tt...i dont care....you see ricers that do this over and over . i thought we are better than that?just calling a spade a spade to both of you ? sorry ...i just dont like and i made it known...i done....with this topic.....later p.s boggtown yours was a safty issue ,,,taillights totally black........nothing wrong with what i said....read the post

Jeph 01-01-2007 07:10 PM

Kronix, is that you?

Hey DJ, how thick of a coat do you put on. I wonder about how that will hold up to rocks, weather, etc. Did you do your sidemarkers? And are your front grills painted too?

Wonko The Sane 01-01-2007 07:20 PM

Hmm.. I think this look would rock on my silver box... I may just have to try it..
