Zaino arrived today. this stuff is great

i ordered Z2 the other day, arrived pretty fast i must say.
i spent majority of the day cleaning the car.
i cleaned the engine bay as well, i dont think it was ever cleaned befor, i included pictures of that as well.
anyways, heres the pics, they are a little big, but hey the car is so clean and shiny i didnt want to take away from that effect by shrinking them down

Nice job on the engine compartment, could not view the others.

Question:
What are your rates and do you travel? :D

Wow! Nice job on the engine compartment. Perhaps to bring out the real shine of your detail job you should take another picture with leaves all around the car, that should make for a GREAT picture.

I feel for ya buddy, my engine compartment was dirty as hell too, lol. I just kinda wiped some superficial dust off the top and called it a day. I figure some day when I get the lid off again I will use this spray stuff that cleans it.

DJ,

That is the exact look I am trying to get on my 99. I stopped by our local Porsche dealer in Mechanicsburg, PA yesterday to pickup some leather cleaner and they had a new black 2006 Carrera that looked stunning. You could almost see inside the paint it was shined so nice. I asked the salesman what they put on the car to get it to look that way and he said they use old fashioned Carnuba wax.

I am getting ready to order from Zaino as well and had the Z2 as one of the products. Did you use the ZFX with the Z2? I was also going to order the Z6 and Z8 for in between touch ups.

Great job on the inside and out.

jci-joe, you will love the Zaino Z2! I would suggest that you try the Z6 first, before getting both Z6 & Z8. Z8 is very concentrated, and a little difficult to work with. Very expensive too.

I think the only reason to buy the ZFX is if you plan to put multiple coats on in less than 24 hours.

Hi,

I've been using (and touting) Zaino products since the mid-90's when Sal Zaino was personally selling it out of the trunk of his car at Car Shows. After using everything else under the sun for the past 30 years (including Mothers, Blue Coral, Pinacle Sovereign, Natty's Blue, Chemical Guys 5050, Klasse, Zymol, Swissol and others), to me, Zaino is the best, easiest, line of products out there. It has also beat most, if not all, other waxes and finishes in comparison tests.

Several people prefer to use other products, but I think your car speaks for itself...

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

thx for the replies guys.
i used Z2, i searched around on here and autopia.org and some other boards, and most said that all you really need is a Z2. and i did not use ZFX at all.
it was about 45 degrees or so in chicago yesterday, and the drying process took about 2 hrs, i was like what am i gonna do in those 2 hrs? well...took the hardtop off, detailed the hell outta that thing, and then cleaned the engine bay. when i was done w that it was dry and whiped right off leaving the nicest shine i ever seen

i must say tho, this was the easiest product to put on/off.

I've probably got 8-10 coats of Zaino on my guards red boxster, since it's so easy to apply. The good news is, it actually gets brighter. It seems to me that it does not show handprints nearly as much as the carnuaba based waxes.

super66 12-30-2006 10:07 PM

wow

looks great! you should use one of those pics for your signature shot....so is that boxster writing faded in where you removed the emblem or did you do something else back there?

I'm going to order some zaino and do some work in the summer, I'll have plenty of ????'s for you then
