Glass window convertible top not folding fully

Hi,

I found a 4 bow glass window top assembly from an 03 nearby and bought it to install on my 00 boxster. The installation was pretty straightforward and the new top looks fine when closed. However when I try to open it it seems like the top is unable to fold fully and doesnt sit flush which prevents the clamshell from closing. It sticks up about an inch or two from the rest of the body. I can manually press it down but not all the way to where it should be. It also doesnt seem to be hitting something hard because I can push it down slightly but it'll just spring back up after I let go.

I tried adjusting the bolts and control arms but it didn't seem to make a difference. Both sides seem to be even. I even tried setting the top to manual operation and I still couldn't get it to fold all the way.

Anyone have any ideas or experienced something similar? I havent seen a glass window folding operation in person before but it seems to match what I saw online.

Thanks,
Nick

Same situation here.. fixing my sagging window seemed to help a bit but I just live with it like that now. With enough force mine can be pushed down all the way, but then just comes back up. Some sort of latch might help? But I don’t know if its healthy to have that much tension on it
