Chasing a steering wheel vibration ~70mph, could this be it?
I've been chasing a steering wheel vibration that shows up around 70mph. At this point I've replaced almost all of the suspension components ( they needed doing anyway ), had the wheels balanced 3 times, aligned twice, and it's not much better. Today on a whim I took a look at the tires and noticed that the front driver side tire looks like it might have a "hop" in it.
I grabbed a video of it here, is my mind playing tricks on me, or might this be the cause of what has been plaguing me for almost a year now? |
What is the condition of your front struts?

Is there a way for me to "test" the struts to without removing them to know if they might be the problem? Thanks for the help! |
With the car on the ground, push down on the quarter panel and see if you can rock/bounce the car back and forth. With my blown shocks it would rock and roll. With the new PSS9s it only moves about 1/2 up and down. Hard to push down.
