Another FOB question
My 1998 Boxster's key is the style that has two buttons and the physical metal key for the ignition. One button is for the door lock and the other is for the rear trunk.
My question: Does the key's battery have a parasitic drain IF the buttons are NOT PRESSED? I ask because, I typically leave the key on the dashboard when the car is in my garage. I assume that unless one of the two buttons is pressed and the little red light on the fob lights up there is no drain. Am I correct of wrong about that? |
No, it only draws power when the buttons are pushed.
