So the twitching is odd because that function hasn't even worked for a long time. The window drop on the right hand side works but the window is seated too high so hits the frame when closed.

The passenger door handle does not seem floppy. If I oped the door, the window remains in place no matter whether up or down. Is replacing the door latch microswitch DIY-able for someone with basic skills and tools? Thanks.
You will need to replace the entire latch assembly, sadly. It’s not particularly difficult, but it is rather expensive, considering that the only piece which has failed is far from that.
