Soon after replacing the complete window mechanism (re-used the motor) the short open-close cycle started misbehaving (full open-close cycle operates normally, fortunately) I had not yet replaced the panel so it was easy to determine that a simple wiggle of the 9 pin connector started a series of short ups and downs. Took it all out (door handle and latch mechanism) and many youtubes later i think all 3 microswitches are OK ( the one activated by the plastic threaded cam has 3 terminals so i do not know how to accurately determine correct continuity). I have narrowed it down to this level: holding the small pcb with integral motor (fully removed from the housing) in one hand and slightly moving the 9pin connector(connected) with the other hand, sets off a forward and reverse motor cycle.
I have a video of this but seems cannot upload for this site.
I have cleaned and inspected the 9 pin and the pcb but cannot see any irregularities.
If the problem/solution is obvious to some or all members, I apologize for the long windedness. Any advice on how to stop this "shorting"?

What behavior are you talking about? Window drop/raise when the door opens? It is just erratically going off?

I had a window misbehave before i replaced my latch. Typically the cam the latch switch rides on will wear, and then it stops functioning.

There are many posts on the microswitch issues, but i believe mine is unusual in that i THINK the weird window behavior stems from a "short" on the pcb-to-9pin connector that controls the DC power-lock motor> tiny physical manipulation of this connection by hand sets the power lock motor in motion (which in turn starts up the window antics)
I'm suspecting it is a pcb bad connection issue and am hoping a member with PCB knowledge will point me in the right direction.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1754681507.jpg
