Drive shaft CB joint grease

By any chance someone knows the specs of the grease used on the driveshaft boots?

One of my transmission side boots is leaking, I already have the 'ottinger type' clamp but before I replace it, I would like to try to replenish the boot with the grease that now is laying everywhere close to the drive axle.

PS: I am planning on buying a grease srynge to push the new grease throung the edge oif the rubber boot before I instal the new clamp, thank you in advance!

.

High-quality, high-temperature, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2)-containing grease. Porsche recommends a specific grease (part number 000 043 305 45), but other options from reputable brands like Red Line, Liqui Moly, and NEO Synthetics are also highly regarded.

Can’t help with the grease recommendation, but tell me about the “ottinger type” cv boot. Did you find one specific to our cars, or are you adapting one from a different vehicle?

Thanks

JFK, thank you for the grease recommendation, I would like to get the same brand (even from the dealer) to avoid mixing different grease brands.

For some reason, I keep thinking about the Alaska MD80 that crashed off the coast of CA, the accident report blame the accident to over extended maintenence and also because the mechanics use a different kind of grease that was not compatible with the one on the jackscrew, the new grease mix ended acting as a sand paper that wore the treads of the jackscrew very quickly causing the assembly to fail.

In my case, the car had 40k miles and I would like to prevent premature wear on the CV joints.

Bill, I bought the ottinger style clamps (not the boots) from F C P Euro.
