Flash2Pass

Been thinking about the Garage door opener mod and came across this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=003&sspagename=STRK%3AME WA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=130060032891&rd=1&rd=1

Anybody try this or have any thoughts on the idea?

Pros:
1. seems cheaper (time/material) than the other mod
2. No need to change battery

Cons:
1. Might have to add one to wifes car to operate garage door (not known for sure)

Merry Christmas (almost)!!!

I've been looking at this also. This ebay price is about the cheapest I've seen so far. From the factory its about 75 or so, maybe a little more.

I've seen a hack where you install a radio shack button on the dash but wire it to your existing remote. Not the best solution in my mind.. although i DO like having a button on the dash for it. Why oh why didn't Porsche support home link in 01? Do new P cars have home link?? Its a great solution to this problem, but they don't make after market applications. If your car didn't come with it new, you're sol.

If you get the Flash2pass let us know how you like it.

I put a button on my dash for the garage door opener. All you do is take your opener and solder wires to the button(the other side of the circuit board) and wire that to a button. Easy as pie.

Obviously you never seen me make a pie!

Let's just put it this way, I bought the "Cold Solder Iron" . . . Still burnt myself ;)
