986 Heater Control Issues

Hi Folks

I have a 1999 2.5L 986

When I select the heater temp controls to adjust car temp ie get some heat, The controls and the LED all work fine. I can select the various temp on screen however this makes no difference to the air coming from heater. Always cold air.

The only way it will give me Hot air is when I select the Highest temp indicated by Hi on screen.

I also have a popping sound which I think is comming from cooling system although Im not certain of this..And may not be related to the temp select issue

Any ideas?

Assuming you've already dealt with the foam deterioration of the blend flap, it's likely the blend flap actuator.
