I need help with alarm code 47 and the dreaded double beep when locking.
My car has double beeped for awhile when locking it manually with the key (fob does not work). It also did not lock the passenger door or fuel door.
Recently it started sporadically double beeping when driving (not fun). So I tried fixing it by installing a new passenger door lock (used but working unit…according to eBay). It worked for a few lock cycles and now the double beep is back and it’s not locking the passenger door or fuel door.
What should I try next? Driver door? Would a different system tell me what part of the alarm has failed? Durametric just shows 47 and 61 with little information.
Confused on where to go from here. I have search the forum like crazy and most posts said to start with the passenger lock assembly.
