pccm+ ground wire

I'm installing pccm+ in a 2001S. My car has option 680 Digital Sound package. I'm not even sure what it does, maybe take existing crappy sound and make it crappy in different ways.

Anyway, according to the Porsche doc 9112, if you have Dig Sound (m680) and PCM gen 1 (m662), then you need to open the connector at the DSP and add a ground wire at pin 17. I don't have nav, only DSP, so if the english is precise, I don't need to do this. Pin 17 should be blk/red/ylw. I don't see a blk/red/ylw wire going into the connector, which is evidence I don't need to do this. But for those who have done this, how in the world did you open the connector? It appears to be a solid chunk of plastic with no seams.
