Central locking issue !+
I have dampness in module and central locking not working. Everything else is good, car starts, roof works, lights etc.
It's a 1997, 2.5, tipt auto. My module ref is 99661826000 I am thinking of buying a replacement module, with the ignition lock and other module from another car exactly the same, a 1997, 2.5, tipt, but the module ref is 99661826004. So what are the issues buying this and replacing all 3 things ??? |

There is a 3rd way, if you know how to reflux. Take the EEPROM out of your damaged unit and put it on a good one. It's risky because you can seriously damage both units. Once you start melting the solder, those little bits around the EERPOM can easily get misaligned, let alone the risk of overheating the EEPROM. Even though I had enough experience, and I practiced many times on a junk circuit board with comparably-sized components, I was still sweating bullets when I did it on mine. |
