Pioneer In-Dash DVD

Has anyone put a Pioneer In-Dash Multimedia A/V Receiver (AVH-P6800DVD) in a 2006 Boxster yet? I have a 2006, and it 'looks' like it should fit (perhaps with some custom work done). I saw pic on the internet of a similar system and it looked awesome. Has anyone out there done this?

Furthermore ... can anyone in Orlando could suggest someplace that would have experience installing something like this? I have heard good things about Bob's Top Shop but have no personal experience....

Thanks in advance!

I don't think it can be done as the Boxster uses the MOST fiber optic system.

You can put anything you want in a Boxster! It's just a matter of how much time, money and custom work you are willing expend. All that is in a stereo system, is a source (deck, DVD player, Mp3 player), an amplifier (either built into the source, or separate), and speakers.

You might have to replace the entire stock system to make it work, but there's really no reason you can't do it if you want. Anything is better than a stock stereo most of the time anyway.

I understand having a DVD in a sedan, SUV, or minivan for the backseat folks to have fun on long trips. But why would anyone want a DVD in a roadster?
