Finonimus.com leather seats

Hello all,

For the past year, I've hemming and hawing about getting new leather seats for the Boxster. I had been thinking about the lseat.com seats covers, but when I saw them installed, they looked kind of hit-or-miss, and none of the installs had a factory look to it. I then came across this thread:

The fit and finish of the seats in the thread were so good that I decided to pull the trigger on them. I bought them from their ebay store but you can also buy them directly finonimus.com as well. Here is the link to the boxster seats:

I got them installed this weekend and I have to say that they are really nice. Again, the fit and finish were superb. The covers fit tight to the foam and they look close to a factory fit. I only have 2 issues with the covers. First, the bottom cover doesn't come with the c-channel that holds it to the frame. Instead, it comes with a drawstring that holds the leather to the frame. In the end, it works well, and you can't tell the difference. The second thing is that the light grey they use doesn't match the Dove grey that Porsche uses. It's quite a bit lighter but I'm finding that I'm ok with that.

I bought through their ebay store, so I didn't have the opportunity to customize the order, but if you order directly from them, they'll work with you on things like an embossed logo and I think even colors. Here are a couple of pictures showing how the seats look in my car.

I’ve had this problem too with matching grey leather to OEM gray. Sun fading and dirt or aging of the leather also make this really hard. Looks like it turned out great!

If it's $566 for one cover... this esteemed prospective customer is out.

Or, OP, is that for a pair? Please advise.

That price is for the pair, and the shipping is included. I don't know how long that price will stand as there may soon be some tariffs added as they are a Canadian company.

BTW... I have no affiliation with ths company in any way.

Very nice, although not noticeably better than my lseats. The draw-string sounds like a good idea... getting that c-channel on was one of the biggest challenges of the install.

Amen. It was a PIA with the Lseat and with the factory-leather driver's seat I found on eBay. With the latter I had to remove the leather on the seat bottom and back to install heat pads. The c-channel fought me when I replaced the bottom's leather, although it was probably due mostly to the additional thickness of the heat pad.

Some sun exposure will no doubt tighten up the leather on amagalla's seats.

They look nice. I’m about to get mine recovered. We have a local trim shop that does great work and when I took the car to him for a quote he gave me $850 to do both seats, 2-tone leather with Porsche logo (although the wife prefers not having the logo on the headrests, and she usually wins). $750 without the logo.

Tennessee must have some spectacular deals. An upholstery shop here in Oregon quoted me $900 merely to install covers from lseat.com.
